Restrictions & Appeals

What is a restriction?

Your account may be placed in a "restricted" state if you break the rules severely enough to require a timeout from the community. Some restrictions occur automatically and may be lifted without issue if found to be erroneous.

When your account is restricted, the following features are disabled or limited:

  • Multiplayer participation
  • In-game chat
  • Private messaging
  • Public profile visibility
  • Global, country, and score rankings

What should I do if I get restricted?

First of all—don't panic! Some restrictions may be erroneous, and in such cases, a simple email to support@somtum.fun is enough to have the issue resolved.

All restriction-related queries are handled exclusively via email. Contacting staff members directly or creating support tickets regarding your restriction may negatively impact your appeal status if done persistently.

For a faster response, join our Discord server (somtum.fun) and open a support ticket.

If you are unsure why you were restricted, you can send an email to request clarification. If the restriction was an error, it will be resolved promptly. Otherwise, follow the guidelines below to proceed.

Why did I get restricted?

Common reasons for restrictions include:

  • Multi-accounting: Creating multiple accounts is prohibited. Your first account will be restricted temporarily, while any additional accounts will be permanently banned.
  • Account sharing: Allowing someone else to play on your account or playing on someone else's account is not allowed. If this happens accidentally due to shared PCs, please contact support.
  • Cheating: Using third-party software or unfair advantages will result in immediate restriction.

Other cases may lead to restriction at the discretion of the support team.

Appeal Cooldowns

If your restriction was not erroneous, you will need to wait a cooldown period before appealing. This period allows you to reflect on your actions and demonstrate good behavior. You can email support@somtum.fun to ask when your cooldown ends.

OffenseCooldown PeriodNotes
Cheating (first offense)3 monthsFull profile wipe applied
Cheating (second offense)12 monthsFull profile wipe applied
Multi-accounting2 monthsAdditional accounts permanently disabled
Account sharing2 monthsAffected accounts receive the same penalty

If you break additional rules while restricted, your cooldown will reset from the date of the new offense.

How do I appeal?

Once your cooldown expires, you may send an appeal to support@somtum.fun. Appeals are typically reviewed within a week. If you don't receive a response, you may send a follow-up email.

For a faster response, join our Discord server (somtum.fun) and open a support ticket.

When submitting an appeal, please include the following:

  1. What led to your restriction – A brief explanation of the rule(s) you broke.
  2. Why you broke the rules – Your reasoning and any relevant details.
  3. How you broke the rules – Applies mainly to cheating cases (e.g., what tool you used).
  4. Why you deserve another chance – A reflection on your actions and how you've changed.

What if my appeal is denied?

If your appeal is denied, it may be due to:

  • Dishonesty in your appeal
  • Continued rule violations while restricted
  • A severe account history
  • Sending an appeal before your cooldown expired

If you believe your appeal was unfairly denied, you may request a second review by emailing appeal-review@somtum.fun with the following information:

  • The date you sent your appeal
  • The response you received (if any)
  • Why you believe the decision was unfair
  • Any previous appeals you sent

Appeal reviews do not guarantee unrestriction but provide a second opinion on your case.

Final Notes

  • If you are restricted for the second time, your next cooldown will be longer.
  • Severe or repeated offenses may lead to permanent restriction.
  • Always follow community guidelines to avoid restrictions in the first place.

If you have any questions regarding restrictions, appeals, or cooldowns, contact support@somtum.fun for assistance, or for a faster response, join our Discord server (somtum.fun) and open a support ticket.
